Objective of the Workshop Spell - 2
- As the syllabus of Class XI and XII has been changed, an urgent need was to introduce and elaborate new concepts of the syllabus and to facilitate students with the pattern of question papers.
- To develop teaching materials of the key concept areas of the new Syllabus.
- To generate sample question papers for XI Half-Yearly and Session Ending along with XII Pre-board for both CS & IP
- To develop video lectures of vital topics to help students in the Absence of teachers,
- To develop project ideas in Django web framework, tkinter Library, Database connectivity and Data file handling.
- To provide basic knowledge for Class XII python syllabus.

To keep pace with the changing world of technology, Central Board of Secondary Education has taken the step to update the syllabus of Computer Science and Informatics Practices for the classes 11th and 12th.
The main learning objectives being:
1.Develop basic computational thinking. Learn how to reason with variables, state transitions, conditionals, and iteration.
2. Understand the notion of data types, and higher order data structures such as lists, tuples, and dictionaries.
3. Appreciate the notion of an algorithm, and understand its structure, including how algorithms handle corner cases.
4. Develop a basic understanding of computer systems - architecture, OS, mobile and cloud computing.
5. Learn basic SQL programming.
6. Learn all about cyber safety.
The new tools/concepts being introduced are:
1. Python programming
2. Basics of NoSQL databases - Mongo DB
3. Python Pandas
Kendriya Vidyalaya sangathan as a flagship organization in the field of school education in India accordingly has taken steps to equip its teaching fraternity with the above said tools and software.
As a part of this KVS RO Kolkata has organized 03-days workshop from 05/07/2018 to 07/07/2018 at Kendriya Vidyalaya, OF Dum Dum.
